1. About BraceKit
BraceKit ("we", "us", "our") is a household resilience learning platform operated from the United Kingdom. BraceKit is operated by Synapted Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16202593), with its registered address at 110 Cronin Street, London, SE15 6JD. By accessing or using bracekit.co.uk (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us promptly at hello@mail.bracekit.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Premium Membership
BraceKit offers a one-time lifetime premium membership ("Premium") that unlocks additional courses, articles, kit lists, and inventory tracking features.
- Pricing. The current price is displayed at the point of purchase and is charged in GBP. All prices include VAT where applicable.
- Payment. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- Lifetime access. "Lifetime" means for as long as BraceKit continues to operate the Site. It does not guarantee perpetual availability. If BraceKit ceases operations or discontinues the Site, we will provide at least 3 months' notice and make premium content available for download during that notice period.
- Premium codes. Premium access may also be granted via promotional codes issued at our discretion.
5. Refund Policy
Because Premium provides immediate access to digital content, you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once access is granted. However, if you experience a genuine issue, contact us at hello@mail.bracekit.co.uk within 14 days of purchase and we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, redistribute, or resell any premium content;
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract content from the Site;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems;
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, images, course materials, and design — is owned by BraceKit or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may access content for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Disclaimer
BraceKit provides general information for household preparedness. Our content is not a substitute for professional advice. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information provided. You act on it at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BraceKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@mail.bracekit.co.uk. When you delete your account, we will permanently remove your profile, progress, badges, lists, and inventory within 30 days. Payment records may be retained as required by law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post prominent notice of material changes on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@mail.bracekit.co.uk and we will try to resolve the matter directly. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. You can find information about ADR and your options through Citizens Advice. We are not currently registered with an ADR scheme but will consider ADR on a case-by-case basis.
